Friday Favorites: Makeup Removers

I’m back with my Friday Favorites…

It’s been a long while since I did one of these Friday Favorites. A while ago, I  really like using the Banila Co. Clean It Zero. It was a balm like makeup remover but when I started using the second jar, it seemed like the formula changed. It became too waxy and when I put it on my face, it felt like it won’t wash off; I had to scrub it off with a towel. It did really well in removing my makeup but I felt like in the long run it’s going to give me some serious wrinkles.

I first tried a small bottle of the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil and despite not liking oily makeup removers, this one was an exception for me. I’m now on my second bottle. Usually I don’t like oil based makeup removers because of the texture but this one is ok because it does such a good job in removing my makeup. This makes me feel super clean and there’s no leftover residue from my makeup.

Neutrogena’s Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover has been a go to makeup remover for me. Before I started using the Clinique cleansing oil, I had to always use this to remove the stubborn makeup that the other makeup removers failed to remove the first time around. It’s pretty gentle as it claims and doesn’t irritate my eyes so I keep using it and it’s very inexpensive. I still continue to use this as a way to check if I removed makeup thoroughly when I wear a lot of eye makeup. I just soak a cotton swab with this and run it along the eyelids to make sure.

What are your favorite makeup removers?
