So it’s already the end of June!
Time is going by so fast is really an understatement. It doesn’t feel like that long ago that it was New Years and suddenly we’re in the summer. This half a year went by so fast but I got a lot done. It’s probably the most fulfilling part of my life since graduating a few years ago, when I was depressed about how my career turned out. I don’t know if I ever mentioned it but I worked in a management role prior to going back for fashion design and I was struggling because I don’t think I was fitted for the role. I jumped into the first job I was offered and though my parents thought it was a great opportunity, it was a terrible decision for me.
I’m still thankful for what it taught me but I can’t see myself going back into that same role. This past month, I really reflected on a lot and this time around, I’m going to take my time to find a position that fits well with what I want to do versus what everyone else thinks is right for me.
If you follow me on Instagram then you might have seen some of these photos. I spent a lot of time in downtown LA this month: studying, finishing projects, and buying a ton of fabric to practice with. My goal lately is to practice making my own clothes.
My internship also ended this month and I graduated. I’ve been busy with interviews lately and hopefully I’ll get a job (though a part of me just wants to work for myself hahah).
Even with my weird schedule, I managed to make it to a Angels game. Oddly, it’s my first time going to one even though I’ve lived in LA my whole life.
Maybe I’m stressed again but I find myself eating a lot of sweets lately hahaha.
Well, that’s it for June. This July I’ll be traveling for a bit so I can’t wait to share that here on the blog.
It’s really time to slow down a bit and relax. Have a great summer!
