Short post today on my new favorite dinglehopper!
Haha I was a huge Little Mermaid’s fan as a child and I always admired how she could just brush her hair with a fork with no tangles. Though the Tangle Teezer, which I just recently purchased at Sephora, is not as miraculous as her fork, it really helps me with detangling my hair.
The Tangle Teezer is an Allure Best of Beauty award winner and it states:
The Original Detangling Hairbrush features a patented teeth formation that bends and flexes throughout the hair without locking into tangles. It minimizes hair breakage and cuticle damage while adding shine. Use in the shower to brush through conditioning treatments or after hair is dry for pain-free detangling. Great for use on all hair types, it is ergonomically designed to fit snugly in your palm for creative styling and easy handling.
From afar, the brush looks a bit like a giant bug with small little legs but once you turn it over you’ll see both short and tall plastic “teeth”. I don’t like to comb or brush my hair when it’s wet so I don’t know how well it does for wet hair. On dried hair, it really does detangle better than normal combs I use and I had hair that reached my waist when I first bought this brush.
My hair is very damaged and tangles easily after I colored it; the mornings when I comb out my hair is difficult for me and causes a lot of hair loss. This brush though really reduced the time I needed to detangle my hair. Hair loss is inevitable but this does seem to not cause unnatural hair loss from the pulling and tugging in an attempt at detangling.
The only thing that I don’t like about this brush is that it does have a loud sound when you comb it and at first I thought the sounds were from hair breakage! After I got used to it, it’s not really a problem any more.
It’s not Little Mermaid’s miracle dinglehopper but it works well for me. Have you ever tried this popular brush?
I love my tangle teezer! I also have the travel-size that I keep in my bag for work 🙂

Haha loving the Litter Mermaid reference 😀 I still remember the song she sings while combing her hair! And ooh, I’ll definitely buy one next time I’m at Sephora too ❤

I use something like this in Asia as well before showering though not from Sephora
I think it really helps washing hair much cleaner and a better natural puff not flat hair when hair drying 😀
