If you follow me on Instagram, you might already know that I’m now in South Korea and no longer in Hong Kong. This is my second full day in Korea and was finally able to edit the rest of the photos from the Hong Kong trip.
I stayed for around 1 week in Hong Kong and I tried to visit as many places as I could during my stay. But of course due to the amount of people in certain areas, I didn’t take any pictures in those areas such as the Ladies Market 😦
Victoria Park and the Hong Kong Discovery Centre
The day after I visited the Peak, I went to Victoria Park and the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre there. In the discovery centre, I was able to see a lot of Hong Kong’s architectural history as well as some archaeological objects such as pottery.
Symphony of Lights
That night we went to see the Symphony of Lights near the harbor. Though it wasn’t as spectacular as I had expected, it was still a very interesting sight to see a lot of the buildings light up.
Times Square
The next day we also went to Times Square and walked around the streets to various places for sight seeing and lots of eating. The building there had so many levels full of shops and it made the shopaholic in me itch to do some shopping haha
(This was the toast with shredded pork at Toast Box.)
Star Ferry and Lan Kwai Fong (蘭桂坊)
Before we went to the harbor, we had some milk tea, yunnan noodles, and some Hui Lau Shan (許留山) drinks. Then we visited the harbor for the famous clock tower and took the Star Ferry to Central. That day was particularly hot and humid so we went back early and headed out again to Lan Kwai Fong at night. Oddly, we had some Thai food there and then went to a bar for a few drinks. I didn’t get to take much pictures there unfortunately.
That concludes my week long trip in Hong Kong. Though it was hot and humid for the fall weather, Hong Kong’s beautiful metropolis scenery, and unique blend of east meets west (especially with food) made it worth sweating for. I’ll be in Korea for about 2 weeks so I’ll try to post a little of my visit in the next few days.
Have you ever visited Hong Kong and how do you like it?
Beautiful photos! HK has the most impressive skyline I’ve seen so far. Have fun in Korea, I’d love to be there right now 🙂

if you’re the type to shop, ditch myeongdong and go to sinchon ahah things are cheaper there. and if you want more of the views and if you have time, there’s a lot of nice ones at suwon, around an hour from seoul. for food, you can try 8flavors, chirchir and twotwo 😀

Hong Kong was very humid and hot for the fall. It was around 80 degrees the whole time I was there. Hopefully it’ll be cooler by the time you go there. Have fun!
