So I’ve been in Hong Kong for the past few days and haven’t gotten the chance to post anything on this blog…
I arrived on Monday night and basically wasted the whole Monday to traveling and getting to Hong Kong. But for these past few days I did quite a lot of walking and sight seeing.
I’m staying at an Airbnb in 旺角 (Mong Kok) and this is the view from my room. The view isn’t that great but right below is the location of the ladies market so it was quite convenient. I didn’t get to take pictures at certain areas since it was so packed.
I spent these few days getting used to the humid weather and learning how to use the MTR here. I grew up in a suburban area in L.A. so this type of metropolitan city was a very new experience for me. I took the MTR and after getting a bit lost I visited the Mid Level Escalators during my first day out in Hong Kong.
I spent a lot of time walking through 中環 (Central) and due to time, I didn’t get to ride one of these “Ding Ding”/ trams but I saw quite a lot of them (I believe this was taken in the上環 Sheung Wan area).
I also took the Peak Tram up to the Sky Terrace; the tram ride might be a little disappointing but once we got to the peak, there was a beautiful panoramic view of Hong Kong.
At the Peak Galleria, I spent quite a lot of time at the Trick Eye Museum. The tricks to the eyes were quite funny and looked quite good on picture but of course some were just plain awkward haha.
I’ll have more pictures to share in a few days; hope you’ll stay tuned for my new adventures in Hong Kong.
Check out my instagram for more pictures from my trip!
