Sephora just had their double points event so of course I had to stock up. I really only bought 2 things: the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster and the Sephora Collection Colorful 5 Eyeshadow Palette.
I had just finished my first bottle of the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum and had to buy another one. For someone that has dry skin, it’s relieving to find a product that hydrates and doesn’t dry out the skin further. I find that this product helps with minimizing the appearance of acne scars and really does brighten the complexion as it claims. I also like using it under the eye where I’m starting to get small lines. This is one of those products I can’t live without anymore.
The other product I bought is a eyeshadow palette by Sephora. I don’t have a lot of eyeshadows so when I saw this on sale, I gave it try. I got the palette in “Sweet to Passionate Pink”. I haven’t given it try yet on my eye but on my hand alone, the pinks are not as dramatic as they appear and seem to be able to create a natural look. In the swatches below from left to right is: baby pink, pink, pink taupe, burgundy, and deep grey. I particularly like the pink taupe color which seems wearable for many occasions. The baby pink though is almost invisible on my skin.
I’ve also received a few samples; one of which is the Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in 117. I’m very excited to try this one since I’ve been trying to buy a good foundation; I’m usually a BB cream kind of girl haha. The sample is actually quite a good size in comparison to the other paper thin samples. I don’t have a picture but it does seem to feel smooth on my hand but not sure if it’ll be cakey on my dry face.
Once I get to use these products a bit more, I’ll do a little review and update. I’m still looking for other foundations to try. Anyone have a foundation they swear by and would recommend?
Thanks for reading as always 🙂

I love Sephora! For a long time, my beauty cupboard was filled with Sephora goodies – from eye shadow palettes to lipsticks – you name it, I have it! The foundation sample is definitely a very good side for trialling. Would love to hear from you to see how it goes. 🙂
