Ok, so I’m straying away from the DIY posts again today; still no inspiration… I’m going to share a bit about Korean products that I use everyday since I restocked a few lately. I have come to love quite a few Korean makeup products, especially Innisfree, after some trial and error.
I have really dry skin that sometimes flakes. So I always start off with a primer or base. After lots of experiments, I find that applying the Innisfree Mineral Glow Base first helps to reduce that flakiness on my skin. It’s purple in color so it brightens up the face and it’s perfect for that dewy look.
For day to day makeup, I prefer BB creams over foundation. I tried a few and they either have a fake “white” color or they are too dark for me. I don’t try any other BB creams now though after using the Skin 79 Super+. It’s still white like other BB creams but I feel that it’s much more natural.
After the bb cream, I apply the Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder, which works especially great in sunny California. It helps with the oily spots and helps the makeup stay put. Compared to other powders, it also doesn’t cause “dry spots” to appear on my skin
Onto the eyes… I use the It Skin Babyface Natural Eyebrow pencil and the Innisfree Gel Liner in Brown. There’s not too much to say about the eyebrow pencil but it was super cheap and the color appears natural. For the liner, there is a slight sparkle to it but it’s not noticeable when used; the liner also doesn’t smudge after wearing it all day. I love the liner but the design could be improved; I wish it was the twist up type rather than to sharpen it.
And last but not least, I use the Etude House Fresh Cherry tint (PK001) as a blush and a lip tint. It’s a bit dry for my lips but the color really last long. As both a blush and a lip stain, it looks very natural.
Overall, these products are very fitting for everyday makeup that focuses on the “natural” look.

I have lived in a majority Korean neighborhood for most of my life and I have to say they make pretty effective products. Not to mention everything always looks so cute.

Hey Vicky! I just found your blog. It’s super cute! And I have to agree with you on the Innisfree no sebum powder – it’s my own HG as well and i love it. I’m still new to Korean products so I think I’m inspired now to go get some to try!
Thanks for the post!
